Superintendent Car 402

402 was sold to Texas Tech University in Lubbock, 11/26/68 according to Ellington's list.

It was sold by owner Vernie Barber in 2001 and reported moving in the Fort Worth area, March 20, 2001 where it was at the 8th Street Yard of the Taranatula RR. It was decorated as Stardust and lettered Frisco 502.

It was reported being dropped off by UP in Gilmer, TX on April 19, 2001 and was still there in October 2008. It is located on spur track which goes into a former salvage yard on S. Montgomery St. just south of town on land owned by Elliott Dean. It is still masquerading as 502, FRISCO STARDUST. The trucks were lubed in 1989 by the Texas State Railroad and the brakes were serviced in 1991 by the Fort Worth and Western.
